The flat is BRILLIANTLY located: just 2 minutes walking to the Albert's Embankment and Thames River Path, and 10 mins walking from the main London Attractions, such as Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Big Ben and Imperial War Museum and the park that it's set in - which means I can use the tennis courts and 5 a side football.
There is a mini supermarket 1 min away - very useful! And various coffee places at the the top of the road.
And it is close to the Southbank Centre, where you can hang out socially - eat and drink - and the River Thames, where you can jog along.
Not far away from the flat, there is a very good gym, attached to Southbank University, which you can use, if you want to keep up your exercise regime while away.
The Cut and Lower Marsh, SE1 - are two well known streets full of shops, restaurants and pubs and only a 8-10 mins walk from the flat.
On Saturday, you can walk to Borough Market - London's number one food market and great people watching!
Getting around is very easy!
You can walk towards Vauxhall Underground station where you will find the Victoria line and from there you can literally get to anywhere in London.
It is only one stop from Victoria Train Station, from where you can go everywhere outside London.
Or you can go along the Thames Embankment, and in 10 minutes of beautiful walk you will reach out the Westminster Underground Station (District Line), and in 15 minutes you will be on the South Kensington Underground Station, where the most famous museums are situated (Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, and Science Museum).
I advise to download the underground map app if you have a smart phone as very useful! Also there is a bus stop 2 minutes from the flat, which is really well connected.
If you have a UK contactless payment card you can use this instead of an oyster card (pre-pay card card for London travel) which makes travel really simple, or pick up an oyster card at the underground station.
For taxis in London is the instant request Uber taxis. Download the app and off you go!
